Mark’s New Year resolution is to build a powerful machine. “My personal challenge for 2016 is to build a simple AI to run my home and help me with my work. You can think of it kind of like Jarvis in Iron Man,” says Mark.
“You can think of it kind of like Jarvis in Iron Man,” he writes, referring to the robotic butler in the well known Marvel movies. Posted by Mark Zuckerberg on Sunday, January 3, 2016 Moving to more ambitious tasks, he writes, “I’ll teach it to let friends in by looking at their faces when they ring the doorbell. I’ll teach it to let me know if anything is going on in Max’s room that I need to check on when I’m not with her. On the work side, it’ll help me visualize data in VR to help me build better services and lead my organizations more effectively.” “This should be a fun intellectual challenge to code this for myself,” Zuckerberg wrote. “I’m looking forward to sharing what I learn over the course of the year.” Other challenges that Zuckerberg has taken on in recent years for his personal growth includes reading two books every month, learn Mandarin and meet a new person every day. Last year, Zuckerberg pledged to donate 99 per cent of his earnings to charity to celebrate the birth of his daughter Max, and also backed a United Nations bid for universal internet access by 2020 as part of an effort to eliminate poverty by 2030.
